What does “75” mean in bra size?

In the European and Asian sizing formats commonly seen in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, 75 is the band-size number. It refers to the area around the ribcage directly beneath the bust.

This is why you may see labels such as 75B／34B on the same product. They describe a similar starting size using two numbering systems.

75A vs 75B vs 75C: what is the real difference?

Measurements are approximate common references. Cup grading and size charts differ between brands and bra constructions.

Moving from 75A to 75B does not make the band larger. It adds cup space. Moving from 75B to 75C adds another cup step while keeping the same nominal band.

Which bra size is 75A?

A 75A bra combines a 75 band with an A cup. It may suit someone whose underbust is close to the 75-size range and whose bust-to-underbust difference matches the brand’s A-cup grading.

A well-fitting 75A should:

• sit level around the ribcage;
• lie flat along the upper cup edge;
• avoid empty space inside a tall or rigid cup;
• remain stable without over-tightening the straps.

How big is B75 or 75B?

B75 and 75B describe the same size order: a 75 band with a B cup. It contains more cup volume than 75A but less than 75C.

It is more accurate to describe 75B as the middle cup in this 75A–75C comparison than to label it universally “small” or “medium”. How it looks depends on breast shape, torso width, cup construction and clothing.

Is 75B considered small or medium?

What does 75C mean?

Signs that 75C may be more suitable than 75B include:

• the 75B band feels correct but breast tissue spills over the cup;

• loosening the straps does not remove the cup pressure.

How to measure for a 75A, 75B or 75C bra

1. Measure the underbust. Wrap the tape directly beneath the bust and keep it level.
2. Measure the fullest bust. Keep the tape comfortably close without compressing the tissue.
3. Calculate the difference. Subtract the underbust from the fullest-bust measurement.
4. Compare with the product chart. Use the result as a starting size rather than a guaranteed fit.
5. Check the bra while moving. Sit, raise the arms and walk to see whether the band and cups remain stable.

Sister sizing is most useful when the cup volume feels close but the band does not.
